We are an interdisciplinary research group led by Dr. Matilde Vaghi. We are based at the School of Psychological Sciences at Birkbeck, University of London.
The lab seeks to reach an individual-level understanding of the cognitive and brain mechanisms of compulsivity. One of the aims is to develop imaging and diagnostic tools to help those who have psychiatric conditions across the lifespan and to translate this knowledge to tailored intervention. The lab uses advanced neuroimaging techniques in combination with pharmacology, large-scale experiments, and computational modelling.
